Your key duties will be the one-on-one wedding planning process with clients, through to the set-up, coordination & execution of the day’s proceedings. You must have a high level of attention to detail, be well presented and possess excellent communication skills.
As a Wedding Planner/Manager, you shall work closely with the General Manager & Wedding Planning Team to fulfil the following tasks independently, and with autonomy.
A little of what you will be doing:
- Confidently execute planning appointments with couples in a face to face fashion, understanding that after hours and weekend appointments are required in order to best suit couples time frames & requirements.
- Event Sales – including taking couples for tours of the venue.
- Provide dedicated administrative support to couples from the time of hand-over, until and inclusive of the day of the wedding to ensure the smooth & seamless coordination of all wedding planning requirements
- Manage all Wedding related operational tasks in all coordination aspects inclusive of liaising with all internal and external suppliers for logistical requirements. This includes stylists, photographers, florists, external hire & entertainment, cake suppliers etc. Co-ordinate weddings daily, as required - you will be the main point of contact for all operational on the day coordination.
- Planning weddings daily – you will be the couples go to for all elements related to the wedding planning experience following confirmation of booking.
- Host wedding menu tastings to meet with couples and assist wedding coordinator on the night in networking with couples.
- Liaise with suppliers for bump-in and out on the day of wedding
- Communication with MC, front of house team & kitchen on the night of wedding / event to execute a smooth & seamless order of service.
- All administrative duties for Runsheet preparation.
- On the day of the wedding setting up of the finishing touches; set-up of client items as required
- Set-Up, Pack-Down, supervision of weddings & events, as required.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working in the wedding and events industry is an advantage but not necessary
- Weekend availability is a must
